First Portugal-Based Crypto Exchange Criptoloja Launches Online Trading
Criptoloja, the first crypto exchange licensed to operate in Portugal, launched its online crypto trading service last week.The crypto exchange now allows users to buy 94 cryptocurrencies online via euros, CEO and co-founder Pedro Borges told CoinDesk, adding that users can also trade those cryptocurrencies for an additional 398 other cryptos.In June, the Central Bank of Portugal (Banco de Portugal) licensed Criptoloja as a “virtual asset service provider,” making it the first crypto company licensed to operate since a new law covering crypto trading platforms in Portugal took effect earlier in 2021.In August, the company started offering an offline trading…
