ECB Hires Former ING Director as Digital Euro Program Manager
The European Central Bank (ECB) has tapped Evelien Witlox, ING’s global director of payments, as program manager for its digital euro, effective Jan. 1.In her new role, Witlox will work alongside the senior management team of the Directorate General Market Infrastructure and Payments.Witlox will work on the ECB’s investigation phase of the project, which will run until October 2023.
